Stateside once again

Hi everybody!
I know you've all been left in suspense--did Mike and Ruthie ACTUALLY return to the US or did they decide to run away into the Australian bush? Never fear, we made it home, and boy does it feel good to be back in the US of A. Our flight back was fairly uneventful; the only exciting part was that we were WAY over the weight limit with our suitcases and they didn't charge us a thing--$350 off scott-free. Whee!!!
Neither of us really had any jetlag; instead we're having seasonal-lag. To go from so much sun in Sydney to being in Portland where the sun never really makes it up in the sky before it decides to set...well, that's rough.
We spent Thanksgiving with my aunt Kacky in Colorado where I had final fittings for my wedding dress and Mike made 10 pizzas for all the nuns. (Needless to say, he's pretty popular!) When we left Denver, Mike flew to Dallas to look for apartments (he thinks he found one!) and Mom and I returned to Portland to continue with wedding preparations. At this point I think everything is under control; it's just silly thins like chasing after the caterer to make sure he remembers who I am.
So, we're planning on keeping the blog up and running, but do you think we're going to have to change the title to Texan Adventures? Everyone knows Texas is about as crazy a place as Australia...but maybe at least we won't have holes in the floor! :)
